A collection of work from a long
partnership in photographic endeavor, Robert Dyke and Tammy Hoy
present a collaboration spanning years of research and
exploration, searching across Canada and the U.S. for places
forgotten to time.
Through our images we share locations
that have been left and abandoned. Still retaining vestiges of
their former selves despite the elements, time, water and air
have all contributed to make these monuments look and feel the
way they do, calling all senses into play.
Take a walk into the past and experience
places such as an old psychiatric hospital, abandoned
children's orphanage and abandoned underground subway tunnel in
N.Y. The people have long since departed from these places but
as you walk through the rubble and broken glass you can almost
hear the pitter patter of little feet on the stairs, the
laughter of little voices in the hallway or the sounds of a
subway car roaring through an old underground subway tunnel.
Rediscover the wonders that surround us.
